Looking to work with a physician who has an Acuson cardiac ultrasound unit and get this type of unit connected to an existing PACS. Their unit physically appears to have networking ability (has a network jack in the back and network settings option in the Service UI), but does not appear to have DICOM storage features installed. I believe the system it is running version 12.2 system software. In the Service UI network settings, trying to add or change a host type to the "DICOM" selection gives a message basically saying that the DICOM feature is not present (and naturally to call Acuson sales). What would be needed to get a machine in this state enabled for send images over a local network via DICOM? Is it only a software add-in needed or hardware installation as well?
