safety filter

looking for an assembly to replace the physician safety filter, error 23 conditions.

Hello!  Strange that the make/model info didn't make it into my initial comment!

It's a Zeiss VisuLase 532.  Serial # 844371 (from 2002).  I have not seen this unit.  It is in Chittagong, Bangladesh, where I'll be doing some training next month.  Apparently it is installed with a Zeiss slit lamp (not sure of model).

does the operator filter need to be replaced or just clean it? can you have the service manual?

You correct in that it is the Physician's safety filter. Specifically that the open-close time is too long (>50ms). If the filter has not been used in a while, then the first step should be to clean the mechanical parts. After that, check the cable and any electrical components in the device.
