The differential counts all read high lymphs, monos, and atypicals - sample to sample. After flushing the cytometer several times, the 1st run specimen after flushing is close to normal (on the high control) but every sample after that reads the same = high lymphs, monos, and atypicals. The wbc, rbc, hb adn hct and rbc cell volume readings are all OK. Performed several concentrated cleanings = no change. I run a Physician's office lab and can't afford a service contract. ABX's estimate to fix this could run over $3000.00 which includes $2000.00 to replace the cytometer if no other remedy is possible. Any suggestions? Or does anyone know where I can get this machine fixed reasonably?

Mon Sep 24 2012Reply from C. Mash
The last time I worked on an instrument with similar issues, there was leakage issues in the syringe block assy. When was your last PM? I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again for using Med-Wrench.
