M5Sc-d issues

Hello, I have 5 systems that all have had issues with CW noise when cable is moved at Strain relief. Requiring replacement of the transducer 2 systems have had them replaced twice in less than a year and a half. GE tech support says they haven't had widespread issues. I am reaching out to see if anyone else has been having similar issues. Thanks

It all depends on what strain reliefe is having the failure. If it is near the connector, then you may want to look at the GRLY board. There can be times where the lock holding the transducer to the port can become loose and cause these errors. If it is not the connection itself then the issue usually has to do woith the handeling and care of the probe itself.

I had the same issue with one M5Sc-D probe couple of months ago. Had to replace it. Send it to GE for evaluation, told me nothing they can do to fix it. The probe look pristine. No damage, no tear or dent whatsoever. But in doppler mode, there was big noise just by moving the probe.
