Ce not sealed
RE: Sterilizers/Autoclaves Report Post
Good afternoon,
My name is Chris and I'm a technician with RPI. I would like to make a few suggestions to see if we can't fix the problem right from the start but if these don't help a more in depth conversation might be needed in which case please contact us at 818 882-8611 ext 135. First, on most of these machines there is a manual valve that is inline with the valve going to the door's sealing channel, ensure this valve is open. I know this may sound simple but sometimes people forget. Second, new seals going into these machines are suggested by Getinge to be placed in a bag and sprayed with Molykote Silicone Dry Film Lubricant to reduce friction in the gasket raceway. This could help with any sticking of the gasket. Lastly, some machines had a small spring-like piece that sat behind the gasket in the raceway, if this is present and has any deformation or is just simply not sitting correctly in the raceway it can cause this problem. If these don't help please remember to call our tech support team to see if we can't discuss this problem further.
Chris
