Siemens (and most OEM's) do not always specify that sterile water is required for rinsing after high-level disinfection. Sometimes it is stated as "use sterile water or high quality tap water".  OEM's tend to be vague.  The S2000 user manual states the following.

To clean and disinfect a transducer:
1. Disconnect the transducer from the system.
2. Moisten a clean gauze pad with water and wipe the transducer to remove any gel or
particles remaining on the transducer.
3. Carefully wipe the entire transducer, including the cable and connector.
4. To disinfect the transducer, take care to keep the cable strain relief and connector of the
transducer dry while immersing the transducer in an approved disinfectant to the level
indicated in the following illustration.
5. Carefully follow the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions.
6. After cleaning or disinfecting, use a clean cloth to dry the transducer.
To high-level disinfect a transducer:
1. Disconnect the transducer from the system.
2. Thoroughly clean, rinse, and dry the transducer.
3. Take care to keep the cable strain relief and connector of the transducer dry while
immersing the transducer in an approved disinfectant to the level indicated in the following
illustration.
4. Carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions for high-level disinfection.
5. After high-level disinfecting, use a clean cloth to dry the transducer.

OEM's typically refer customers to the IFU's for the disinfectant and steer clear of specific recommendations.  You can see above that no recommendations for rinsing are called-out, yet it is a key step in the process.  The removal on residual disinfectants is extremely important in extending the longevity of a transducer.

Only one probe on the S3000 can be sterilized, the 14L5. The user manuals have a list of tested and approved disinfectants.

In my experience, disinfectant solutions say to rinse the device after high-level disinfection, usually 3 times. A clean cloth dampened with tap water is generally used for this. The probe is not sterilized and tap water should be clean enough.
