surgical light dark spot
RE: Surgical Light Report Post

The universal answer: IT DEPENDS
Has it always projected in this manner?
Is the light new to you or your office?
If this is a recent development, what has changed? Bulb change, cleaning, accidental damage, relocation.
Did it start after Cleaning? If yes, first look for anything that is out of aligmnent. Look for dirty reflector or housing. If the bulb was removed during the cleaning process go through removal/installation process. Ask somone familiar with the process observe you. Do they see you doing anything different?
Did it start after replacing a bulb? If yes, was the correct bulb installed? Don't roll your eyes, tt happens often. Look for anything that is out of aligmnent, dirty reflector or housing. Go through the removal/installation process again. If you don't see anything obvious try another bulb. Make certian it is the correct bulb!
Were adjustment made to the light other than movement to better see an area? Has the reflector been moved in relation to the bulb?
Good luck!

Then the problem could be in a wrong bulb type. For this op. lights are important position and shape of the filament because the reflector is designed for a specific bulb and reflection depends on geometry
