Permanent Lines on Xray Images

Does anyone know what part of the scanner could be causing permanent lines in the images? It couldn't be the cassettes because we already tried using a new one and it didn't solve the problem. We tried cleaning the inside of the scanner but the result was that the two scratches on the images produced just became more evident. I'm suspecting the lines are caused by permanent scratches in one of the parts of the scanner. I just don't know which one. Can anyone please tell me what is it that needs to be replaced and why the problem happened. Thanks and God bless

Usually if the lines run the direction of the plate travel and cover the entire length of the plate its caused by dust blocking the laser. Have you used the manual cleaner on the side of Prima T scanner?

I have not any experience with Prima T2, but lots of it with Capsula, FCR5000 and XG1.

How do these lines look like? check with a 35x43 plate. Line parallel to the 43cm (in the direction of transport) from top to bottom can mean dirt on the mirror close to the light-collector in the subscanner. Another cause might be a long blond hair disturbing the laserbeam...

Is this problem solved???

lines - in the ip transport direction - are almost always caused by dirt in the subscanning unit. Dirt is blocking the light transport from the ip to the PMT. E.g the edge of the light collector or the rotatable mirror in front of this edge. Start with using the cleaning button on the CL. When this is not bringing the solution start cleaning the the mirror and the lightcollector edge, all of coure with much care. Another cause might be a hair in front of the output windo of the laser unit.
