The sterilization instructions for (connector for the argon probe) Ref # 133000, states the only sterilization method is to use the Steris VHP system. We along with I'm sure other facilities do not have this system available for this sterilization. What are other facilities using for their sterilization of this adapter. I am confident there must be an alternative sterilization method.

Yes there are alternative VHP options from a practicality standpoint. However, by exclusively specifying one of the most expensive units for sterilization, the OEM has cleverly placed a legal escape should a cross contamination be proven from a failure in sterilization. I would recommend a refurbished Steris VHP to cover all basis, however, even if you use that product and a cross contamination is proven the liability will most likely fall on your facility anyways. The alternative system specifications and sterilization process will need to be analyzed to make sure it does not cause damage to the probe for example peek temperature and sterilization time.
