sounds like a door lock solenoid or sensor issue. I'd start there.

yes this is what i suspect,  do you now where is sensor exactly, and there is one or more?

Check to make sure you are getting 5V locked and 0V open with your DMM from the left and right door lock solenoids.

The service manual is located under the documents tab if you need help locating them.

I've had similar issues with our RC-3BP Plus and the latch was broken.  I think theres a bad run of latches
