exhaust to fast in liquid cycle

My s-40 valve for exhaust stays energized for about 80seconds continuous and then I get an alarm that the exhaust is to fast? What controls the exhaust valve temperature or pressure or both? What should I look for ?

The needle valve, small screw with locking but, in front of the exhaust manifold controls the rate of exhaust. Turning it clockwise decreases the rate of exhaust. If this is okay, check the condition of the S3 fast exhaust valve as it may be leaking by.
