my sonace r3 ultrasound is freezing when trying to start up. it shows a message titled 'xterm' and when i opened it, a message "-bash-2, 05b#" displays. please, if anyone has an idea of fixing it...

You will need to reload software.
To reload you will need an external DVD drive.
Software rev is 2.03.05.
The R3 software occassionally suffers read/write errors to the HDD (Seagate SATA 160Gb) and fails to boot.
OS is Linux.
