The manual section 5-1 only instructs how to change date and time it does not address the date/time defaulting back every time the unit is turned off. Is there a supplemental internal battery such as those used in PCs for CMOS?

I am having the same issue. Does anyone have parts available for this unit? BD (formerly Bard) says it's end of life and no longer support this unit.
