Unit won't charge

Unit will work with AA batteries installed but it won't charge with a brand new charger. The charge light doesn't come on. Wondering if anyone has the service manual for this, all I can find is the Users manual. Does anyone know what the 2 components in the battery chamber are? Thanks

Hi, Here are the possible solutions: 1) The four batteries must be replaced with our item number: 4481150, Fluke description: BATTERY ,SECONDARY, NI-MH, 1.2V, 2.05AH, SINGLE CELL, AA, BUTTON TOP. (Alkaline AA batteries will not charge.) 2) The proper battery charger must also be used. Fluke item number: 4766561, description: POWER SUPPLY, SW, 18W, 85-264VAC, 9V@2A, 3KV, VI, W/MAINS ADAPTERS, UNIV WALL MOUNT must be used. 3) If the above items are being used, then the IDA-1S and battery charger should be returned to the Fluke Biomedical Service Center. The number to call, for a Return Authorization is 440-498-2564. Thank you. John Shirlock Fluke Biomedical Technical Support
