RE: Slide Stainer/Prep Report Post

Sorry, I no longer have the manual for that model. You problem sounds like a relay not latching, the power supply may need replacement.

Two things, I have thought of, to try:
Power it off, press and hold the asterisk key, and then power it on - that should get you to the Test menu, if it is functioning that much.
2nd: You might try disconnecting the switch board, to see if it will initialize further. I don't know what might happen if there was an illegal connection (stuck keys) during the initialization process.
If the previous doesn't help, and if all the voltages are stable (on the main board, not just on the power supply or motherboard), while the display is blinking, and no motors or solenoid actuating, I would say that it is probably a main board failure. Anything else (in my estimation) should either generate an error, or progress to the point that you can hear motors actuate. In this case, you might see if you can have a PCB test/repair company repair that board. They will examine, replace suspect capacitors and chips, and may bring it back to life.

Hi Ross,
Checked by connecting only mother board, main board & display keypad, the display keeps blinking.
I also suspect the main board as once in a while the display switch es to normal operation, but again on switch off & switch on process it starts blinking. All voltage are constant at rated voltage.have to work on Main board, how stable is the up or the microcontroller experienced any change on component level?? Or concentrate on other peripheral chips, all capacitors seems to be ok on first inspection.
