Error Code E340

I have a Valleylab Ft10 that I obtained from a hospital, when I turn the unit on it makes alot of clicking noises, displays a message about the REM pad not being connected, and then displays error message E340. I found a service manual that says the possible source of the problem is Controller PCBA but I'm not sure what this means does anyone know how to fix this?

Was anything plugged in at the time? Did the problem clear when the power was cycled off and back on? I had a similar issue that cleared after cycling the power. You might want to check and see if the software is up to date. Covidien Tech Support 800-722-8772

Matt,

Nothing was plugged into it at the time, I've turned it on and off several times and tried to download new software on it, the current software version is 1.1.3.12. It is also displaying kind of a double image on the screen. Any ideas?
