Hi Harpo,

Yes, according to the VISULAS user manual, "All persons present in the laser hazard area during laser operation must wear laser safety goggles. The patient's eye which is not being treated must also be properly protected."

Absolutely Yes.  For patient, staff, technician, and regulatory.....yes.

Neither the doctor using the laser nor the patient being treated will require safety goggles, but any other person in the room should wear some.

The laser has an Eye Safety Filter built into it for the doctor’s protection, and the patient is being intentionally treated with laser. But goggles will protect any bystander from accidental exposure.
