Howdy,

I do not think there is any adjustment for the backlight brightness on this system. There is one large PCB in the control panel called the Key Matrix Board. It sounds like a failure of that board.

The control panel is a USB device with proprietary Windows drivers.

Check the USB and power connections to the control panel board.
