Hi rob,
When the alarm message displays, press the MENU key and then select ALARM INFORMATION in order to gather more data as to what is causing the error. If you can report back here, I should be able to offer further assistance.
Although I'm not familiar with all of the error codes on this system, code 38 may refer to a specific rotor, which may not be secured. I would check your rotors in addition to triaging the alarm information.
