Just enter the software in VGA mode

The arcadis varic VB13C only enters the software in VGA mode, however in this mode it does not control the arc. When it starts in normal mode it loads up to "Windows XP" and the screens are in standby status. Help me!

Hi

Its difficult to understand exactly your problem. It seems you are saying Syngo does not start & the monitors remain in standby!

When you power-on monitor cart only both monitors should show the Siemens Splash screen, then they both should switch to the normal boot screen.

At power-on (depending upon PC model) you should see text on left monitor showing bios has started & the 3 hard drives are checked. Yes this should be VGA mode.

Then the PC software switches over to syngo & the monitors should switch to the new Syngo resolution & the syngo count-up screen should be visible.

If you have a problem with say BIOS (because the battery faulty) it will remain in VGA mode & stop with message like F1 to continue or DEL to access setup.

If it goes past boot but fails to run Syngo it could be a number of things it all depends at what point it fails. It coul be a failed HDD, database error etc.

A screen shot/picture would be helpful. What version of Varic do you have VB13C (Gen1 or VC10A (Gen2)?

How old is system, if 5 to 10 yeasr old more liekly yout biso battery has failed.

Most likely your BIOS has defaulted because the BIOS battery needs replacing. You can prove this by logging into BIOS at start-up. BIOS Password: pwd4sp.

Check the BIOS date & time, most likely it has defaulted to 19** etc. You can change the date & time while in BIOS, save and PC will restart.

While in BIOS there is a low level Disk test option, you can check that 3 HDD are visible (just to confirm the HDD are being seen).

If the BIOS defaults you usually lose one HDD. It could be one HDD is faulty, but most likely its just BIOS.

If that fails consider reloading the software again. The first part of software install is to re-install BIOS.
