Gen1 (VB13C) or Gen2 (VC10A)?

When you say shutting off, do you mean the whole system shutsdown without notice! or do you mean the software shutdowns & the generator remains powered-on?

If the whole system abruptley shutsdownh without warning then you should check the PC rear connectors, particularly the PS2! & No the PS2 is not for the mouse or keyboard. The mouse & keyboard are USB.

The PS2 connection: +5v comes out of PC to the D50 powersupply board. If this PS2 plug is removed the whole system shutsdown because the D50 thinks the PC has shutdown normally.

If its an early Gen1 system they had a couple of relays in front of UPS rear, and sometimes the connector screws come loose.

If the software is shutting down, this could be becasue of storm-interupt. Meaning the PC is inundated with error messages & it shutdown software or hangs!

If software issue you must check the X10 connector, look at the cables inside & make sure the Giggalink coax cables are not kinked or bent. This Giggalink cabe is a highspeed data cable, any problems with loose pins, bent coax will cause issues.

If a Gen2 check X11 & X10, X11 being on side of Cart. This was later modified by eliminating X11.
