My machine will not boot, it comes up with "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" Please help!!!

If you have the service manual you should look for the section dealing with the bios settings. It’s possible that you are in need of the cmos battery or you have lost your HDD. This system is not booting to the hard drive. That happens when the bios loses its settings or the HDD is shot.
