Hello, does anyone have issues setting up their laptop to communicate with a MAC 5500 Wireless bridge? I set the IP to 192.168.1.5 in the LAN properties, opened a browser and typed http://192.168.1.3, with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks, Greg

Setting up laptop to communicate with wireless bridge

Hi Greg,
One trick is to make sure you connect the ethernet cable to the bridge before you power the bridge on. If you connected the cable after it was already powered on, you may need to power cycle the bridge again with it connected. (Sometimes it won’t work if you don’t have the cable connected before you power it on.)
Sometimes it seems to help if you disable the wireless on your laptop. Double check you have the correct subnet mask set on your laptop (255.255.255.0). Try to ping the bridge from your laptop.
It is also possible that the bridge has a non-default IP address in it. Reset it to default by holding the reset button for 10 seconds.
