Hi, my Lab recently purchased a used VIP200, supposedly in "working condition". Upon power-up basically very little happens. I have random figures on the front display, and no front-panel keypad controls do anything. I have pics. of the front panel display and PC board LED's. Also, the operating magnet was not with the machine, so I have been using a substitute magnet. Basically I have no control via front panel at all, machine has been 'ON' for 48 hours and Retort nor Wax drawer has heated up. I'm hoping it's not the board or EPROMS...Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi
Please check Thé three triacs . Then check Thé Thérè thermistror maybe they cut thé tension. And please check if some led on Thé boards is red?

Thankyou for reply. No red LED's. I will check Triacs-when I find them and figure out how to do. Cannot upload photo here--does not allow? Control panel shows random figures that don't seem to make any sense.

If this unit was in working condition, I would call the lab yo bought it from and ask for my money back or for them to pay for the repair. Don't go messing with the Triacs if you do not know what they are, you can do more damage to the board. Unfortunately you picked a model that is very old and outdated with minimal part availability. I would find somebody certified to come to your site and look at this issues that is if you cannot get the seller of the unit to make the repairs.

Yeah thx Paul. It was cheap auction from closed Lab. I am careful with this stuff-will not damage! Yes it is ancient, so maybe time to sell parts on Fleabay, machine is clean.
