i am having trouble getting the door to open on the machine (getinge vacuum/gravity steam sterilizer 733hc) in SPD please help

Try turning the steam supply off, wait for it to cool, then press unseal / open door. Your steam to door gasket valve may be leaking by and not allowing the gasket to retract.

gasket need to be replaced every 6 months.
it could very well be a bad gasket.
getinge field tech gave a troubleshooting tip:
"bump your body against the door to help release it as you press door open"
resolution is change the gasket.
