When image is printed it has lines on the film similar to a laserjst printer when its low on toner.

What is the name of the manufacturer and model of the equipment you are working on?

Its a Agfa Healthcare Laser Imager model Daystar AXYS. Type 5367/100.

Open up the front cove and wipe the Thermohead with an alcohol wipe. If the lines are still there after wiping it then the thermohead could be bad.
