What is the manufacturer and model name
try the footswitch on another device If the problem persists switch for the pedal is defective.

I have the same question, it's for COVIDIEN Force Fx Electrosurgical Generator. I connect the footswitch and the cut triggers the coag and the coag doesnt trigger anything, it does this on both monopolar 1 and 2. But it works fine with the handswitch. Im doing a pm on the Rigel Uni-therm electro surgical analyzer.

So the issue was actually that I was using a Conmed footswitch on a Covidien, the footswitch has to be for the same make they are not interchangeable. Hope this helps anyone.
