Hi

Question: Do you see both displays, meaning left monitor has the browser, right monitor has the reference tabs?

If you have lost one monitor when you pulled the display plug out of PC then most likely you have disabled the 'DUAL' mode function of the Graphic Card.

You need to access Windows XP, Control panel

If the monitor cable is damaged and depending upon the PC model, it can happen that the second monitor option in display settings is disabled.

When DUAL monitor defaults single monitor you can get E70 & a few others at power-on/boot-up.

hi

Is the monitor keyboard sufficient or do I need to connect a keyboard to the computer? Is it normal not to have a picture from the image intensifier?

Hi

You should be able to do all from Cart Keyboard & Mouse.

Tricky to get into windows level! You could try starting system & at same time press F8 to bring up windows safe mod. But access may still be restricked by Siemens Software.

Do you have email

Hi

Multiple monitors is not correct. If Dual mode is not visible you could have a PC graphic card issue (unlikely) Cable from PC to Monitor failed (Very likely) or the monitor has failed (Possible).

Do you see a green or amber LED on monitors? If one is green this is good, if one is amber this means power but no video/image data from PC.

Assuming you have the same monitor connector on PC (DVI) then you could swap the cables (at PC) to see if an image appears on the second monitor! To prove if PC or monitor/cable.

You could get another DVI cable & link it direcly from the PC to monitor rear.

If you have PC with DVI & DP (Display Port) sometimes the DP to DVI adaptor fails, or the cable fails because the Monitor column can drive up/down. Again, you could substitute to diagnose.

Another quick question, when the Cart is powered-on, do you should see the Siemens 'splash screen' (white box with Siemens) appears on both monitor displays.

If you see the 'splash screen' this suggests the monitor/s is/are OK.

Thank you very much my dear TOM,

The problem could be solved by following your advice. We went through NVIDIA control panel, then Display, then Set up Multiple displays, then configured independently from each other (dualview). So the 2 screens light up without worry. But the problem we currently have is that we have trouble shutting down the system and here is the message displayed "ASP_MBE_W_17. Do you have any ideas?

thank you very much

The MBE_17 is 'Pending jobs. Could be network or CD/DVD etc.

If noa lready tried, do a full shut system shutdown. From the top menu select: Options

This should clear-out any jobs.

See if the problem comes back, its not a fatal error, more application process.
