Hello, dear group.
I have a mammography system Lorad M-IV Patinum that needs to be fixed, so, I am looking for help to fix it please.
When trying to make a x-ray exposure at low kV (20 -22) and low mAs (9-30) error 35 appears, mainly with large focal spot selected. Filament cal done, Standby current cal done (voltage across R74 is 0.247 Vdc).
What could be the cause?
I have been following the service manual instructions.
We replaced x-ray tube by a Varian type 1 tube (previous one was a Toshiba tube).
Eventhough the proper tube tube was set, and was calibrated, failure continues.
During calibration, I was unable to change values of tube bias voltage according to the instructions on "TUBE BIAS VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT" section. Those values are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Service manual says that those values must be 5V, 5V, 5V, 5V, 5V, 6V, 7V, 8V, 9V and 10V. How can I set the proper values for the new x-ray tube?
One more thing, service manual says nothing about adjusting R20 (mA cal) on "HIGH VOLTAGE CONTROL BOARD". If it were misadjusted, could that be the cause of the problem?
I hope that someone can give me support for solving this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
