Problem: Getting optics errors...codes not available at this moment. Density filter is too slow to move into position and causes the errors. I have lubed it to get by for a few years, but it is getting worse...same errors on three P500D units we own. Apparently this happens as the units age. Anyone know of a source for an equivalent density filter actuator? Uses a 5-pin servo actuator, like is used by hobbyists in Remote Control miniature cars, boats, helicopters, planes, etc. I have removed the actuator/density filter assembly, but dont see the manufacturer label. It could be under the glue that holds the small circuit board onto the actuator. Hate to spend tens of thousands of dollars when part needed should cost less than $200.

What is the name of the manufacturer and model of the equipment you are working on?
Find me on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube or Twitter

I thought this would have been included in my post...it asked me for that info before I could submit my question (that's disappointing when you have to enter data twice).
Anyway, it's a GE P500D, Saturn 4, has the IDD Digital tower. Density filter comes into the optics field when you request a digital spot image.
