Table Top movement

We have a Skytron 6600 table that was sent to us because to table top has too much movement side to side when the table is locked and the top is locked also. My question is how much movement should the table top have and what is the procedure for tightening the table top

Is it just rotational lash? It has been a long time since I worked on one of these with the tabletop rotation, but I remember once the ring at the top of the column that the rotation lock binds to loosened and allowed an inch or two of "slop" left to right at the end of the table. I can't remember exactly how you tightened it though. If its longitudal lash head to foot teeter, the ball socket at the top of the trendelenburg cylinder is bad about needing tightening over time.
