Having problems with stroring to the 3.5 disk.

It formats a new disk just fine but then only allows 1 EKG to be down loaded and it takes a long time to store. It is also picky about which disk it will recognize even thought the disk comes from the same package. Correct me if you think I'm wrong, maybe my disk drive has issue. Error message: Unable to initialize disk. I would like some pearls of wisdom case my way.

Hi Matt,

I would agree with your opinion. If your MAC unit has a floppy drive, it is probably nearing or over twenty years old and just worn out. I suggest replacing the floppy drive. There were two sizes of floppy drives used during the production of the MAC5000, the 5" and a 4.25". Measure from the front to rear to get the proper length and use that measurement to choose your part. We have both in stock and the cost is only $50 for either one. if you need further information, feel free to give us a call.
