My shimadzu x-ray machine UD150L-E goes off in the middle of exposure for higher mAs above 28mAs, what could be the cause?

You need to check your incoming line voltage and check for Voltage drop. That sounds like the voltage on a long exposure is going so low the unit is shutting off. I would also check the calibration. Filament voltage too high can cause issues. If it has not been done in a while. Drop the KV down to 60 and ma to around 250 and see if it does it.
