RE: Ultrasound Systems Report Post

You will need to delete studies off the system. If you need to keep them you can transfer onto a dvd or usb drive.

Hi here is the procedure to reset your database if you feel comfortable doing it.
Resetting the patient database deletes all patient data from the hard drives. Perform this procedure
only after backing up the desirable patient data or after giving up hope of backing up the
desirable patient data. Perform the procedure during each PM inspection.
¤ To reset the patient database
1. Power up the system.
2. Press the Setup key.
3. Click Service.
4. Click Test & Utilities.
5. Click Disk Maintenance.
6. Click Delete Patient Data. The following warning is displayed:
This will stop the ultrasound application, delete all image and patient data, reset the patient
database, and then restart the ultrasound application. Are you sure?
7. Click OK or click Cancel to exit the process.

Thank you fo answers.
But my question is: Can i modify amount of patients stored in the system? I don't want to "loose" stored patients in this system.

If your patient disk is full you will have to transfer the existing patients on another media as a backup and the you either reset the database with the procedure I sent you. You can also try installing a bigger disk in place of the original one, but I can't garantee you the the unit will recognize it.
Good Luck

The short answer to your original question is no, the only way to add more patients is by deleting existing patients from the hard drive. The system shouldn't be used as an archive device, you should export or delete on a regular basis. Otherwise it will definitely inpact the performance of the system and in a worst case scenario that I have seen many times, you will reach a threshold where there is not enough space on the drive for the system to do what it needs to do to operate and the system will not boot. At that point the only way to recover is to reload the system software which is going to wipe all of the patients from the drive. Better to get ahead of this.
