I am new to using a c-arm and we just acquired one at our facility. After turning the machine on for the day, it goes through all the start up and then comes to patient info screen, after we enter all information and try to shoot a test picture all you see is a light gray image. Is there a warm up procedure that I am not aware of? We can turn unit off and back on and it will shoot an image.

assuming you are talking about Arcadis Varic.
After power-up, from the browser you can select Emergency then release radiation from the hand or foot switch.
If nothng appears on screen, are any messages appearing?
With nothing the beam, you stll see something appear on screen, if you have a ruler or something & slowly wave it in front of II you should see it on screen.
The kV & mA should down low like 42kV 0.2mA etc.
Does it have a key switch, is the key switch in the on position.
