You should be able to connect your laptop directly into your work station. If you are trying to download images into PACS, that can be setup on your work station customize screen. You will need your static IP address from your IT department and use the work station keyboard. If you are downloading software with a SIM disk, you connect directly with a null modem cable and setup a temporary IP address on your laptop. Just follow the SIM directions and that will help complete the software download. The only other possible answer for your situation is going through Utility Suite or RUT software on your laptop. Utility Suite is the software you use to make adjustments during preventive maintenance. It also shows the full configuration of the whole system, with all the settings including the IP address. Hopefully this helps to answer your questions.
