5803 Advance Control I-base, Retractable
Tools Required:
Digital Multi-meter with probe and hook leads.
Torque Wrench, calibrated at +/- three percent 95 foot/pounds (Sears Craftsman Digitork model 44597 or
equivalent [equiv]).
OSI Rotation Test Bar
Digital Level
Force Gauge, to 50lbs
Hex keys, (Allen), ball head, minimum handle length 4 inch (in): 5/64 in, 5/32 in, 3/16 in, 5/16 in.

1. General Overall Condition.
1.1 ( ) ( ) Table base is clean, without signs of hazardous contamination, is consistent with proper care.

2. Power Input Inspection.

5. Basic Control. (Confirm table is plug into an AC power source and toggle power switch to “ON”, verify
green indicator on the main power switch is lit. Verify fault light is not illuminated).
5.1 ( ) ( ) Hand control buttons are legible, coiled cord is free of visual damage and storage bracket is properly
attached.

pounds of force applied. Use force gauge.

5.3 ( ) ( ) "180deg Rotation Lock" (bluehandle) at the Head End. When tightened clockwise (lock),
indicator light comes ON. Rotational crossbar does not rotate.

5.4 ( ) ( ) Unlock 180deg Rotation lock (blue handle), indicator light turns off, head end rotational crossbar
rotates 360deg freely.

5.5 ( ) ( ) Turn on 180deg Rotation lock (blue handle) until indicator comes ON. Place rotational test bar
fixture into the holes of the crossbar and snap the torque wrench into the fixture. Apply
95ft/pounds of force in both the right and left direction. There should be no more than 3deg
rotational movement of the crossbar.

5.6 ( ) ( ) "Rotation Safety Lock" ON/OFF Switch/Indicator Light operates properly. Note: This activates
the rotational brake at the foot end of the table. Toggle Rotational Safety Lock switch to “ON”.
Verify indicator on the switch illuminates and foot end rotational crossbar does not rotate.

5.7 ( ) ( ) Toggle Rotational Safety Lock switch to “OFF”. Verify indicator on the switch turns off and foot
end rotational crossbar rotates 360deg freely.

5.8 ( ) ( ) Toggle Rotational Safety Lock switch to “ON”. Place rotational test bar fixture into the holes of
the crossbar and snap the torque wrench into the fixture. Apply 95ft/pounds of force in both the
right and left direction. There should be no more than 3deg rotational movement of the crossbar.

5.9 ( ) ( ) Tilt Drive Status Indicator operates properly. Turn on 180deg Rotation Lock and Rotation Safety
Lock. Using the hand controller, tilt table to full left tilt. Turn off Rotation Safety Lock switch; unlock
180deg Rotation Lock just to the point that the lights goes off. Table should return to level, ±3deg and
Tilt Drive Status Indicator comes “ON”.

6. Operational Inspection. Verify the 180deg Rotation Lock indicator is ON. Verify Rotational Safety Lock
switch is ON. Note: The following procedures require either a Spinal or Imaging Table Top
properly secured at both head and foot ends of the table base.
6.1( ) ( ) Press and hold "HEIGHT UP" / “HEIGHT DOWN" button (run to its upper and lower limit). Verify
both columns move smoothly and continuously without binding or undo noise

binding or undo noise.

limit).

6.4 ( ) ( ) Press and hold Arc Interlock Switch button (located behind foot end pivot assembly) while pressing
left or right tilt functions, verify the Tilt Function is disabled and table does not move.

6.5 ( ) ( ) Turn ON rotational safety lock switch. Press and hold Arc Interlock Switch button (located behind
foot end pivot assembly). Toggle rotational safety lock switch to OFF. Verify the foot brake remains
locked.

7. Battery System Inspection
7.1 ( ) ( ) Unplug Power Cord from wall outlet, turn on table, go through all features to ensure DC power is
functioning properly (Full Range Not Required), Green Power On LED is next to the power switch, and
is on when AC is disconnected with On/Off switch on.
