Philips - M4841A /Philips/M8105A (MP5) Monitor

Can you run a Philips M4841A Transmitter and a Philips M8105A (MP5) Monitor on the same sector at the same time? If so, how do you connect both?

Is this for PIIC IX or PIIC Classic?

For PIIC IX, you can add up to 4 pieces of equipment per sector.  They are added using the equipment management window for the sector.   (Clicking the Equipment field ellipsis (...) button.)

You can assign up to four pieces of equipment to a patient. The following limits apply

  •  One wired or wireless bedside monitor
  •  One transport bedside monitor
  •  One IntelliVue X2
  • One transport IntelliVue X2
  • One telemetry device (Philips IntelliVue MX40 Wearable monitor or Philips IntelliVue TRx Transceiver)
  • Two IntelliBridge Hub devices
  • Four IntelliBridge LAN devices

I believe it is possible in PIIC classic as well.  I just don't recall the details.

I don't think you can on a Classic PIC. And the point is, why would you want to? You can run the M4841A into a MP5T and have the extended capabilities of the MP5T transmitted up to the Classic PIC, including continous SPO2, NBP, and whatever else that might be installed on the MP5T. Otherwise, IMHO, it's overkill to run both a telemetry and a bedside monitor in the same sector.
