Masimo - RAD-97 show MX comm failure after power on

Hi all, anyone know what is the problem showing MX comm failure after power on. Thanks

Hi,

From our experience, this can be caused by a few factors:

1. the MX board itself (you might have problems sourcing this part new; also this is where all the enabled parameters for measuring are saved - Ori; SpHB exc. so you might loose them if you replace the board from another unit)

2. The connection between the MX board and the Interface board (the biggest PCB in the device, where the main power goes)

3. The connection between the Main CPU board (board located behind the screen) and the Interface board

4. Also the interface board (the biggest PCB in the device) can be the cause for this error

I would suggest starting with the connections, since it's the easiest fix. But the MX board is the most common cause for this error.
