getting Rotor No. error despite correct code entered

Our RC6+ is giving the "Rotor No." error despite the correct code being entered. We have tried two rotors and get the same problem. The centrifuge will not run due to this. How does it sense which rotor is present and how can we correct this?

Verify that the motor shaft spins freely.  Double check the desired speed setting and make sure the maximum speed of the rotor is not being exceeded.  Make sure the rotor is properly seated on the crown pins.  You might also try starting a run up to the point you get the error.  After the error is displayed, depress the "CE" button and re-attempt the run.

What is the unit's maintenance history?  Has any maintenance been performed recently?  As far as the rotors being swapped in and out for troubleshooting, are they the same ones that have been in service or did the rotors just get replaced and now a problem has presented itself?
