Overpressure going way over max

During the overpressure verification test, the relief valve doesn't open way past the max threshold of 325 mmHg for adult and only gets triggered at 335 mmHg. Same with neonate, doesn't open at max threshold of 165 mmHg and only does at 180 mmHg. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm not sure, but if your pressure readings are accurate (PT1 and PT2 are reading correct values), I'd guess it's the release valve not opening properly, but it could the main board not signaling it on time. I could be wrong, but I'd try a new pnuematic kit first (especially if the unit is old) and then the main board.

Overpressure of PV-01 may occur if the source (upstream or downstream in the case of back flow) pressure exceeds PV-01 design pressure.

I agree this comment

I have a total of about a dozen of these and I have tried 5 of those and so far all of them are all doing the same thing. Granted they are all old units. Putting in new pneumatic kits in all of them seems a bit expensive and time intensive. Is this common for these units when they get old or is there a way to recalibrate it?

We have a lot of these (various ages) and as far as I know none have had this problem. Possibly your test equipment is not measuring properly if every unit you test is doing this. Are you testing according to the service manual or using a BP simulator/tester? Try verifying with another Biomed's pressure meter. Or have another Biomed test to see if they get the same results.

Hello Bill, Thanks for the insight. Yes I'm doing the test according to the service manual and also yes I'm using the Fluke ProSim 8 for the overpressure test which I think could also be contributing to the relief valve not getting triggered earlier because of how quick the inflation happes, I'm not really sure but I will try doing the test with a pump bulb and see if that solves my issue.

Check the pressure relief valve to make sure it is not damaged or stuck. If the pressure relief valve is broken or stuck, you may need to replace it.
