i have in my inventory a SBW that runs in Windows XP-it is now showing an error that requires entering safe mode to remove or disable components-has anyone encountered this problem-is this still worth fixing.

Hi Rob Mac,
I haven't seen that specifically but to get to Safe Mode just tap the F8 key repeatedly when the machine is booting up and the black "Starting Windows" bar is at the bottom of the screen.
This could be a sign of corrupt drivers. I'd try running a check disk and see what comes up.
