What is the methodology for DXH 800 for HB

Hemoglobin is measured photometrically at 525 nm using the sample from the white cell analysis. Clean diluent is introduced into the cuvette during each operating cycle and is used as a blank in the calculation of the HGB. Why are you asking? High backgrounds or erratic HGB results...? I'm an expert on the UniCel DxH800/600/690T/900 and the UniCel DxH SMS. The most difficult aspect to the HGB subsystem is getting everything aligned, (Lamp, HGB cuvette and the photometer).
