Hello, has anyone figured out a way to fix the speaker malfunction inop alarm? This started when replacing the touchscreen and having to unplug the speaker. The speaker is still audible and works as intended. Have tried 3rd party and OEM speakers, reloading software multiple times and using OEM and aftermarket touchscreens. The service manual only states that during the power on self test the speaker didn't pass and that's why its alarming. All the speakers Ohm'd out to 8 ohms as they should, kinda lost for the next step besides dropping the money on a philips depot repair.
Speaker Malfunction
The only think I can think of, considering that I've never had one apart or seen a schematic of it, is that it's got a microphone on the board as well, to confirm that the speaker works. I've seen mikes used on certain Maquet ventilators. Other than that, I don't have a clue. Sorry.

My understanding is that there is a microphone on the main board that detects the alarm from the speaker at a specific frequency and volume. Look to ensure your microphone isn't covered or missing. Without it, it won't matter whose speaker you install. Good luck!

The fact that it also has a microphone on the board to verify that the speaker functions is something I have never disassembled or seen in a schematic. Verify that your microphone is not hidden or absent. Verify that the alarm's speaker is turned on and not off by checking the sound settings.

Something that I have never dismantled or seen in a schematic is the fact that it also has a microphone on the board to demonstrate if the speaker is functioning properly. Make sure that your microphone is not concealed or missing from your device.
