Can someone help me - what are OEM specifications for angles on this TEE Probe, ie Up/Down/Right/Left?

Angulation specs for x7-2t Tranducer

Brian,
Philips is one OEM that does not provide specifications for articulation limits or a range of motion. GE and Acuson do provide this information to end-users. We have sampled/repaired the articulation on thousands of HP/Philips TEE transducers. The 21378A, S7-2 and X7-2 all share similar articulation designs. The anterior direction should approach 120 degrees (but is not always able to be attained). A minimum of 90 degrees is expected. In any other direction, a minimum of 60 degrees is expected.
The articulation components are subjected to a great amount of stress and mis-use during day-to-day operation. The articulation range is just one area that should be addressed in a comprehensive PM program designed for TEE transducers. Owners/managers of the TEE probes should expect the articulation components to require an adjustment every 6-12 months (based on useage level). If the TEE probe is used in a teaching environment, expect this interval to be on the lower end.
