Socket connector issues or something else

Check the contacts in the connector on the fetal monitor. We have GE, but I've seen where the contacts get pushed in and make intermittent contact. 

Thanks Bill, I checked everything over, and cant find any issues. I'm thinking that fluid intrusion from cleaning materials has worked its way in to the connectors causing some corrosion issues. The socket connector is not expensive- $128 so going to replace it. Unfortunately you cannot get a good look inside at the contacts without a time intensive un-solder job. 

The sockets on fetal monitors, irrespective of make and model (GE/Philips) become loose and develop contact issues, especially after using third party repaired/refurbished transducers with after-market cable-connector assembly. First clean the monitor sockets and all transducer connectors with absolute alcohol and if the problem is not resolved, replace the monitor sockets as well as all the cable-connectors on the transducers should be OEM product. Third party serviced transducers never pass all tests for 100% compliance to OEM specs approved by FDA. At least 70% of transducers at hospital are non-OEM and are major cause of increased C-sections as well as adverse events involving injury, deaths.
