Head side rail

How can I replace the left head side rail? The service manual doesn't have much clear instruction on how to completely replace the side rail.

Pull the mattress, you'll find the screws holding the side rail in place on the top surface follow the ground cable and controls cable coming off of the siderail(if you have controls on your rail) follow them back to their attachment point and disconnect. Its fairly straight forward.
