Bed wont go down

I do not have the CareAssist model, but you should look at your CPR handles. One of them might be stuck, causing this. It happens occasionally on the Versacare bed.

the orange light, is it on a lock symbol?

are the head or leg controls locked?

or is it the circle with the line thru it and upside down triangle? there is a light to signify bed is not in the low position. engaging the wheel locks should clear that? 

otherwise you might be looking at  bad hilow column or power supply. Once you've ruled out operator/KISS principle, swap head/foot cables on the main pcb, see if the same issue occurs.
