The “System startup state 16” error on the ZEISS HFA II-i can be frustrating. I'd start out trying these:

Dim Room Lights: Ensure that the room lights are dimmed during startup. Bright lights can interfere with the calibration process.

Shutter and Wedge Calibration: Perform shutter and wedge calibration. This helps ensure accurate measurements. Refer to the Field Service Manual for detailed instructions.

Check Filters: Inspect the green and blue filters in the detector assembly. If they are broken, cracked, or very dirty, replace them as necessary.

Remember to consult the user manual for additional guidance. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to ZEISS support for professional assistance.

IT DOES NOT ENTER THE CALIBRATION SCREEN.

IS A DISC OR CONNECTOR NECESSARY TO RELEASE IT?

Shutter and Wedge Calibration: Perform shutter and wedge calibration. This helps ensure accurate measurements. Refer to the Field Service Manual for detailed instructions.
