Staff reports unit does not work in certain rooms of clinic. They start in one room, it will not pick up EKG, move to another room and it works. Port in monitor is good, acquisition module and cable both replaced. Leads and clips also replaced. I believe its patient placement, but before ruling it out completely seeing if anyone else has ever seen this issue? GE states they have never heard of this happening before as well and could not find fault in machine.

Intermittently Working

Hi RebeccaL,
This could be a electromagnetic interference issue. Are there old style fluorescent tube lights in the rooms? Are the rooms above or an MRI machine? Are there wireless access points near the rooms? There is a tool some companies have called a spectral analyzer which can help track down noise. EKG leads are essentially just antennas with some shielding over the wires but some times the shielding isn't enough. There should be an option in the menus to apply a 50/60hz filter. Give that a go if it's not already on.
Good Luck!
